Storage Device
A storage device is any computing hardware that is used for storing,
porting and extracting data files and objects. It can hold and store
information both temporarily and permanently, and can be internal or external
to a computer, server or any similar computing device.
A storage device may also be known as a storage
medium
there are two types of storage devices.
1. Primary Storage Devices.
a. ROM
b. RAM
2. Secondary Storage Devices.
a. HDD
b. CD ROM
c. USB Drive .
Unit of storage.
Each alpha numeric character represented in a
storage location as a combination of binary digits (0,1) of bits to from a
byte.
