Windows XP ("XP" stand for experience) is an operating system developed by Microsoft for use on general-purpose computer systems. Windows XP was first released on October 25, 2001. The desktop has a three-dimensional look with rounded corners and more shading. XP improved support for gaming, digital photography, instant messaging, wireless networking and sharing connections to the Internet.
Control Panel in Windows XP is a very powerful toll to customize your computer. It allows users to view and manipulate basic system settings and controls, such as adding hardware, adding and removing software, controlling user accounts and changing accessibility options.
To open the control panel, do the following:
- Click on the Start menu.
- Point to Setting, then click Control Panel. ...the control Panel windows opens
- Double-click the icon for the settings you want to change.
