History of computer in Nepal

History of Computer of Nepal

the fist computer  brought in Nepal was IBM 1401 which was brought by the government in lease for the population census of 1972(2028 B. s) later, in 1975 (2031BS) infantry Sanitarian Kendra (Electronic Data processing center) was established which was later called as national Computer Center (NNC) . Again , for the population census of 2038 BS ICL 2050/10 computer center brought in Nepal by the aid of UNDP. After 2039 B.s microcomputers Like, apple vector, sires were introduced in the capital . from that time computer have been used in different government sectors like, banking, agriculture, universities etc. Now there are thousands of computer institute providing computer education, assembling , maintenance etc. throughout the kingdom of Nepal.
Computer Generation
1.First Generation (1943-1958)

 - vacuum tube media.
-Mark -l , (Pro. ha-word Akin)
1937( L=51feet, B= 8 feet ,  H= 7 feet, W= 32 ton
Mark -I = 18000 vacuum tubes. 7 lakes 50000 parts.
Mark - I , ENTAC, EDVAC.
2. Second Generation (1959-1964)
- Transistor media (1949)
- 1000 vacuum tube = 1 transistor
- IBM 650, Uni-vac - I , IBM 1400 series, 1600 series,
- Milli second = 1/1000Th

3. Third Generation (1965-1974)
- IC ( integrated circuit ) 1960
- More than two program can be run.
- Micro second = 1/ 1000000th

4. Fourth Generation (1975- 1990)
- Micro chips (processor)
- Intel 4004, Microprocessor (1971)
- Apple, IBM, Dell, etc.
- Nano second time out = 1/1000000000th

5. fifth Generation (1990- Now)
-Bio chip
- super conductor
- Bio chip is 1 cored powerful than micro chip.
- Pico second = 1/ 1000000000000th
