Assign position values to every digit of the ocatal number starting from the LAV and moving upwards. The position value stars from 0 an increases by 1 each time you move one position upwards.
Raise the base of the octal number system i.e. 8 to the position value of the LSB an multiply the result with the LAB. Repeat the procedure for bery octal digit of the octal number.
Now add all the resulting numbers to generate the decimal equivalent.

BINARY WORLD

Binary world in Computer

Computer is a programmable machine that can store, retrieve and process data. It serves as a toll to improve efficiency of any operation to be performed, It is made up of digital electronics. It understands only one language, called binary language, Binary language is a language of 0's and 1's. Data in a computer can be represented of pulse represents 0 and presence of pulse represents 1. These two numbers combined in different sequences. carry all the information a computer needs-decimal numbers. letters. even full-color images.

The number systems used for representing these electronic pulses can be placed under two categories:

  1. Positional number systems
  2. Non-positional number systems.
